On 19 October 2025, with a full house at CINÉMATHÈQUE in Luxembourg, the Bulgarian film “MADE IN EU” directed by Stefan Komandarev and produced by Katya Trichkova was screened. The screening was part of the 18th edition of the CinEast film festival, which annually showcases contemporary film productions from Central and Eastern European countries.
The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Brussels was once again a partner of CinEast as part of its cultural program for 2025. The screening was opened with a congratulatory address from the Embassy, expressing gratitude to the organizers and highlighting the importance of CinEast as a platform for presenting contemporary Central and Eastern European cinema, as well as for promoting cultural diversity and creative dialogue.
In the ensuing discussion, moderated by Ms. Videlina Dimitrova from the festival's organizational team, the Bulgarian and international audience in the hall had the opportunity to ask questions and share impressions with director Stefan Komandarev and producer Katya Trichkova.
The festival this year featured four Bulgarian films, two feature-length and two short films. The feature-length films are “MADE IN EU” (2025) directed by Stefan Komandarev and “TRIUMPH” (2024) directed by Petar Valchanov and Kristina Grozeva. The short films include “Balconada” (2025) by Iva Tokmakchieva and “Eraserhead in a Knitted Shopping Bag” (2025) by Lili Kos.
