International folklore festival in Namur

The Bulgarian Folklore Ensemble Bravo from Sliven participated in the 58th edition of the International folklore festival in the Belgian town of Namur. The festival is held annually and aims at mutual acquaintance and rapprochement among peoples through their dances, songs, and traditions.
During the three-day festival, the Bulgarian representatives together with the participants from Colombia, Georgia, Italy, Nepal, and Belgium greeted the audience with their beautiful and emotionally charged performances. Among the guests of the festival were the governor of Namur Province, the member of the city council for cultural affairs in Namur province, and other representatives of the local authorities.
The Honorary Consul of Bulgaria for the Walloon region Mr. Luc Sougné congratulated the participants, expressing his satisfaction with the Bulgarian participation in the festival. It creates additional prerequisites for even closer contacts and friendly relations between the peoples of Belgium and Bulgaria.
