The official opening of the “Bridges of Europe” photo exhibition took place on 9th February 2022 and was attended by the EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan H.E. Peter Michalko, the Bulgarian Ambassador H.E. Nikolay Yankov, ambassadors of EU member state countries, diplomats, representatives of the Azerbaijani cultural and art circles and media.

Nikolay Yankov, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in Baku and Dr. Anar Nagiyev, Acting Rector of the Baku Slavic University signed an agreement for a grant in the amount of BGN 40,000, awarded to the Baku Slavic University.

On 16th December 2021, Nikolay Yankov - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria in Baku signed an agreement grant to SOS Children's Villages Azerbaijan nearly 30,000 Euro.

Nikolay Yankov - Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in Baku, took part in the opening ceremony of a Bulgarian corner at the National Library of Azerbaijan "M.F. Akhundov ".

On September 27, 2021, Ambassador Nikolay Yankov welcomed to the Bulgarian Embassy in Baku the newly appointed UN Residence Coordinator for Azerbaijan, Mrs. Vladanka Andreeva. Ambassador Yankov congratulated Ms. Andreeva on her new appointment and wished her successful and fruitful work.

On September 27th Ambassador Nikolay Yankov welcomed to the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Baku the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Republic of Azerbaijan HE Michel Peetermans.

The Embassy of Bulgaria in Baku took part in the #EUBeachCleanup campaign organized on 25th September 2021 by the EU Delegation jointly with the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, EU member states’ embassies and schoolchildren as part of the International Coastal Clean-up Day.

On June 23 the Embassy of Bulgaria in Baku participated in 9th International Festival, hosted by ADA University.

With the opening of the painting exhibition “Bulgaria through the children’s eyes” the Embassy of Bulgaria in Baku marked the 29th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan. 29 years of friendship, mutual support, cooperation and dynamic bilateral dialogue.
