Here we have tried to present useful information about the Embassy's activities, our work, and the relations of friendship and cooperation between Bulgaria and Vietnam.
We are doing our best to share up-do-date information related to the consular services we provide to those living and residing in Vietnam, and in Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and the Philippines as countries of additional accreditation of the Bulgarian Embassy in Hanoi.

Bulgaria and Vietnam share a long history of partnership and cooperation. In 2020 we will celebrate the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations, which have been carefully cultivated and remained rooted in mutual respect and goodwill. The bilateral political dialogue is dynamic, realized by the most recent exchanged visits at the level of Prime Minister in 2014 and 2015, and Vice President in 2014 and 2015, and through the state visit to Vietnam of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria in 2013. Our National Assemblies collaborate closely through the established and well-functioning reciprocal Groups of Friendship.
With Vietnam’s impressive trajectory of socio-economic growth and development, we strive to facilitate and create favorable conditions for expanding the investment and trade ties. The present opportunities are closely allied to Viet Nam’s membership in ASEAN and Bulgaria’s membership in the EU, where the enhanced EU-ASEAN dialogue offers another measure of untapped political and economic potential.
To build a strong partnership in the long run, Bulgaria and Vietnam pursue an agenda for fostering people-to-people relations, cultural and educational exchanges, as these are the alternative engines of growth in partnership and development. One such strong asset in our relationship is the numerous community of the friends of Bulgaria in Vietnam, representative of those who once studied, lived and worked in Bulgaria. Organized in associations of friendship with Bulgaria in the cities of Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh and Hai Phong they serve as living example of the solidity of the relations between states when based on deep personal connections. The Embassy also follows and supports wholeheartedly the Bulgarian-Vietnam Kindergarten in Ha Noi.
