A concert of the grandsons of the great Bulgarian composer Pancho Wladigeroff – Alexander and Konstantin Wladigeroff – was held on 8 February 2018 at the Bulgarian centre in Midrand, Johannesburg.

The Bulgarian actor Miroslav Simeonov won the silver medal at the international Delphic Comedy Championships held at the Joburg Theatre on October 1st, 2017.

The talented Bulgarian competed with participants from the UK, Zambia, Colombia, Nigeria, South Africa, the USA, Slovenia and Serbia

On October 29th, 2016 the Annual Diplomatic Funfair under the auspices of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa took place at the Union Buildings South Lawns in Pretoria. Embassies of 58 states took part in the event. The Bulgarian stand was decorated with pictures of Bulgarian nature and traditional houses.
