Minister Nikolay Milkov took part in the meeting of foreign ministers in the Bucharest format "B-9" in Łódź, Poland

On March 30 and 31, 2023, a Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the countries in the "B-9" format, a multilateral format for consultations on security issues of the countries on the Eastern Flank of NATO, was held in the city of Łódź, Poland. Minister Nikolay Milkov participated from the Bulgarian side.
The B-9 countries reaffirmed political and practical support for Ukraine. They focused on further strengthening the Eastern Flank of the Alliance in response to the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine. Special attention was paid to the implementation of the strategic decisions of the Madrid Summit in June 2022, as well as the preparations for the upcoming meeting of Foreign Ministers in Brussels in April and the NATO Summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, in July.
The countries also emphasized the importance of closer cooperation along the NATO-EU lines.
