Information about the Bulgarian participation in the 13th International Fair of Tourism and Leisure, Wroclaw March 4-6, 2022

In the period 4-6 March 2022 the 13th edition of the International Tourism and Leisure Fair in Wroclaw (International Tourism Trade Show) was held.

The Ministry of Tourism, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Warsaw, organized a presentation of Bulgaria with an information stand on an area of ​​50 sq.m. Bulgaria was also a partner country of the exhibition. The following Bulgarian tourist companies were presented at the national stand: Albena Tour, Credo-Joanna EOOD, Landis, On Holidays and SEVE Travel, as well as the Ministry of Tourism through the national tourist representation.

As part of the participation, the official opening was attended by HE Margarita Ganeva, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Poland. After the opening, a presentation was held in the Euro Hall at Tarchinski Arena on the topic: "Bulgaria - a destination of the four seasons." The presentation was attended by approx. 40 representatives of the Polish tourism sector and media writing for tourism.

In his speech, the Bulgarian Ambassador said that the sector is among the priorities of the Bulgarian economy and the goal is to establish Bulgaria as a year-round destination. Poland is among the leading markets for inbound tourism in Bulgaria, as in 2019 the tourist visits of Polish citizens were 420,980. After the decline during the pandemic, data for 2021 show that more than 220,000 tourists arrived from Poland.

Mr. N. Kostov from NTP-Warsaw made a presentation on "Bulgaria - a destination of the four seasons", drawing attention to little-known facts about the country, which should capture the attention of potential Polish tourists and encourage them to visit the country us. After the presentation, the meeting continued in an informal atmosphere, with guests having the opportunity to ask questions and business representatives to share their expectations and prospects for cooperation with Bulgarian partners.

As part of her participation in the opening of the exhibition, Ambassador Ganeva also met with the Regional Governor of Lower Silesia, Mr. Cesari Przybilski, with whom they exchanged opportunities for cooperation in various fields and discussed options for contact with a suitable field in Bulgaria. . Ambassador Ganeva suggested, as the most appropriate, taking into account the potential of the Lower Silesia region, as well as the city of Wroclaw, a possible partnership with the Plovdiv region and the city of Plovdiv.
