On the 9^th of June 2021, the first online conference with representatives of polish tourist companies and agents was held in the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Warsaw. The meeting was opened by Ambassador Margarita Ganeva, who greeted the representatives of Polish tourist companies and gave a short presentation on the priorities of the Embassy’s work for establishing Bulgaria as a full-year tourist destination. It was underlined the significance of tourism’s role for the economy of the country and the place, which the Polish market occupies in the entry-sector tourism in Bulgaria, as well as our country’s preparation for assuring the health being and security of the tourists, planning to visit Bulgaria during the upcoming months.

Mr. Nikolay Kostov, head of the recently established National Tourist Representation to the Bulgarian Embassy in Warsaw, informed the audience about the advantages of Bulgaria as a four- season destination. He also presented information about the rules for travelling from Poland to Bulgaria, as well as the rules for returning to Poland. Other important documents that the audience was familiarized with were the Rules for the Implementation of the Anti-Epidemic Measures during the summer season of 2021 and the Instructions on the Functioning of Places for Accommodation and Food and Entertainment Services during the COVID-19 Emergency in Bulgaria.

Two other guests gave presentations on their own. The first was Mrs. Katarzyna Białousz, editor, manager, and producer of cultural and social projects, who told the audience about her first visit to Bulgaria in June this year and about her participation in the Rose Festival in Kazanlak, held as part of the project of popularizing the Bulgarian rose oil as one of the world’s most important scents. The other presenter was Mrs. Weronika Ziółkowska, blogger and traveler with her own blog ‘Czubryca Odkrywa’, who laid out the reasons for choosing Bulgaria as a summer vacation destination for Polish tourists and the tendencies for change of the desire and the goals for vacationing in Bulgaria.
