On June 26 this year A ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw to honor Ambassador Emil Yalnazov with the high Polish state award - the Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit. A decree of President A. Duda was read, with which the ambassador was awarded the Order for his contribution to the development of friendly relations and cooperation between Poland and Bulgaria.

The Order was presented to the Ambassador on behalf of President Andrzej Duda, by the Chief of Staff of the President Mr. Krzysztof Szczerski, who in his speech praised the productive work of Ambassador Yalnazov during his term and his significant contribution to the development of bilateral relations. relations and high-level dialogue. The dynamic development of bilateral cooperation and the high-level political visits, meetings and talks in the period 2016-2020 were highlighted. In response, the Bulgarian Ambassador expressed deep gratitude for the assessment and award, as well as for the support and cooperation provided by the Polish authorities. during his term. The ambassador said that he and his wife left Poland with a sense of satisfaction and enriched with many new contacts and friendships in professional and personal terms.

The ceremony was also attended by Ambassador Krzysztof Krajewski, Director of the Diplomatic Protocol and Ambassador of Poland to Bulgaria in the period 2014-2018, Ambassador Heinrich Litwin, Director of the European Policy Directorate at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, employees of the Presidential Administration and diplomats from the embassy.
