On 6^th of June 2024 the Ambassador of Bulgaria in Islamabad Ms. Irena Gancheva held a meeting with the Managing Director of the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) Mr. Muhammad Asim Khichi. During their conversation both sides underlined the importance of media in society, and the responsibility of official mass media to provide true and proofread facts, as well as to fight disinformation and fake news. In this context the Ambassador and APP Managing Director explored ways for enhancing the cooperation between the official Bulgarian News Agency BTA and APP, including by signing a bilateral Memorandum of Understanding that would contribute positively to raising the popularity, increasing the mutual knowledge and strengthening the relations between Bulgaria and Pakistan.
