The Ambassador of Bulgaria in Islamabad Irena Gancheva discussed the prospects of strengthening and expanding the bilateral trade and economic cooperation at a meeting with the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs of Pakistan Omar Ayub Khan, which took place on 14 July 2021.

During the conversation both sides underscored the existing potential in a number of areas, including agriculture, food and food processing industry, information and communication technologies. They also agreed to work for holding the next session of the Joint Bulgaria-Pakistan Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, as well as for encouraging and facilitating the direct contacts between the business circles of the two countries.
