On December 24, 2025, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Georgi Vodenski, presented copies of his letters of credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country, Alibek Bakaev. During the meeting, the good level of cooperation between our countries was noted, a brief retrospective of the mutual visits carried out in the past periods was made and the main initiatives planned for the next year were highlighted. Ambassador Vodenski renewed the invitation from the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rumen Radev, to the President of Kazakhstan, Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to pay an official visit next year.

On October 29–30, 2025, a meeting of the Joint Bulgarian-Kazakh Commission on International Road Transport was held in Astana. The Bulgarian delegation was led by Dimitar Nedyalkov, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Bulgaria, and the Kazakh delegation was led by Maksat Kaliakparov, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the quota for the exchange of permits for freight road transport was updated, steps to enhance cooperation between the countries in the field of transport were identified, and opportunities and prospects for mutual investment in transport infrastructure were discussed.

On 16.04.2025, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the process of preparing the visit of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rumen Radev, to the country, a working meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Kazakhstan, Mr. Boyan Hadjiev, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Roman Vasilenko. The main points of the visit program were discussed, the main topics of the talks within the plenary session, protocol issues, as well as the organization of the business forum, which will be opened by the presidents, were identified. It is planned that over 30 heads of large Bulgarian companies interested in establishing or deepening business relations with Kazakh partners will participate in the delegation.
