Along with the traditional historical links and people to people contacts between Bulgarians and Irish, the year 2020 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Ireland. During this period, we have reached a maturity in our diplomatic relations, coupled with a positive trends and a promising potential for further development.
We are committed to deepen the bilateral relations in a dynamic and complex international environment – in a close cooperation between Bulgaria and Ireland together in the European Union, in the global and regional international organisations and in our joints efforts to provide peace, security and prosperity for our two countries and citizens.
Be assured of the constant and focused attention of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Ireland and of my own attention as an Ambassador towards an active and fruitful contacts with the Bulgarian community in Ireland, in order to protect your interests, to preserve your connections to Bulgaria, to safeguard and consolidate the reputation and the international standing of our country.
The highest standard of the consular service, both for the Bulgarian citizens living or traveling to Ireland and for the Irish citizens, visiting and active in Bulgaria remains our priority.
I am convinced that along with the state and governments level political dialogue between Bulgaria and Ireland, the people to people contacts, the educational and cultural exchange, the open approach to the expectations of the young people and the development of the commercial, economic and investment relations and the tourism remain key.
