On 4 March 2024 a reception was held at the Embassy in Tehran to celebrate the National Day of the Republic of Bulgaria. Among the guests of the event were Iranian officials, ambassadors, diplomats, Bulgarian and Iranian businessmen, artists, etc.

In her welcoming speech, Ambassador Nikolina Kuneva spoke about the importance of Liberation Day as an occasion to pay tribute to the national heroes who, through their self-sacrifice, made today's Bulgaria possible. “Commemorating the Liberation Day reminds us that freedom should never be taken for granted.”

During the reception the guests had the opportunity to see the photo exhibition "Ancient Treasures of Bulgaria" which presented a glimpse of the Thracian treasures found throughout our lands. The exhibition was prepared by a team from the Institute of Balkan Studies and Center for Tracology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
