On April 12, 2017 at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Tehran Ambassador Christo Polendakov, Mr. Ivaylo Yordanov, Counselor, Head of the Consular Section and Mr. Tsvetan Aleksov, First Secretary and Head of the Trade and Economic Affairs Service met with the managers of the Iranian tourist agencies that will work on the Bulgarian tourist market during 2017. The purpose of the meeting was to set the objectives and discuss the measures for their implementation prior to the start of the summer tourist season.

In his remarks, Ambassador Polendakov expressed satisfaction with the growing number of Iranian tourist agencies willing to work on the Bulgarian market, which this year will increase to 32. The following discussion re-confirmed the willingness of the sides to continue the mutually beneficial cooperation.
