The former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Bulgaria H.E. Dr. Abdullah Nouruzi was decorated with the Order of the Madara Horseman 1st Class, on March 9, 2017 during a solemn ceremony held at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran.

Pursuant to Art. 98, subparagraph 8 of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria by Presidential Decree No. 11 of 13 January 2017, the Bulgarian Head of State awarded this high state order to Ambassador Nouruzi in recognition of his contribution to significantly furthering and strengthening the Bulgarian-Iranian relations.

Ambassador Nouruzi was decorated by H.E. Mr. Christo Polendakov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Islamic Republic of Iran in the presence of distinguished representatives of the political, economic, intellectual and cultural communities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
