On the occasion of the coming end of the third mandate of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia as NATO Contact Point Embassy (2017-2018), the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia announces an essay competition on the topic “NATO, Georgia and current security challenges: the 2018 Brussels summit and beyond”.

This contest is open to young people with interest in NATO and security policy, who have strong analytical skills, think as visionaries and offer solutions to current challenges. The essays are supposed to be in English language and sent to the electronic or postal address of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Tbilisi ([email protected] with a copy to [email protected]/ https://www.facebook.com/EmbassyBulgariaTbilisi/, Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Georgia, 15, Vakhtang Gorgasali Lane, Tbilisi) and to be between 3 and 5 pages long. Deadline for submission of essays will be 30 November 2018.

After reviewing the submissions, the jury consisting of representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Parliament of Georgia will announce the winner in the first days of December 2018.

The first prize will be a trip to the Republic of Bulgaria which will offer the winner the opportunity to get acquainted with politics, culture, history and etc. of the Republic of Bulgaria and topics related to the Republic of Bulgaria’s membership in NATO.
