Memorandum of Understanding between Tryavna and Ähtäri, Finland

On 13th and 14th May 2019, a delegation of the town of Tryavna, led by the Town Council Chairman Silvia Krasteva, visited the town of Ähtäri in Central Finland. The visit was on the initiative of Bulgarian embassy in Helsinki and was attended by Ambassador Martin Ivanov. A Memorandum of Understanding between the two municipalities was signed. In the beginning of June the Deputy Mayor Seppo Karjala and the Chairman of the Ähtäri Town Council, Heimo Pirttimäki, will visit Tryavna for the celebration of the Slaveykov Days.
Bulgarian delegation visited the Sedu Tuomarniemi vocational school in forestry, as well as one of the world's leading manufacturers of tanks for the food and the chemical industry Tankki Oy. The company was interested in cooperation with Bulgaria and eventual visit to Bulgaria was agreed.
