At the invitation of the Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Province (Jiangsu FAO), the Consul General Vladislav Spasov visited Suqian city on 19-20 April 2023. Other Consuls General and representatives of diplomatic missions from Argentina, Chile, Indonesia, Malaysia, Portugal, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of South Africa, Türkiye, the USA, etc. in Shanghai also participated in the initiative.

During the organized 2023 Dialogue and Exchange Meeting between Jiangsu and Foreign Consulates in Shanghai officials of Jiangsu provincial administration, incl. the DG-level Counsel at Jiangsu FAO Mr. Zhang Songping, the Director of Consular Affairs Division of Jiangsu FAO Mr. Sheng Caiqiang, the Senior Sergeant of Exit-Entry Administration of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Public Security Mr. Yang Xingliang, the Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Exchanges Division of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce Ms. Sun Jie, the Deputy Director of International Exchanges and Cooperation Division of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism Ms. Mao Xiaolei and the Senior Staff Member of International Cooperation Division of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education Ms. Li Qingjing shared information about the developments in their areas of responsibilities. Broad spectrum of opinions was exchanged between the Consuls General and the officials of Jiangsu provincial administration. 

A meeting with the Secretary of Suqian Party Committee of CPC Mr. Chen Zhongwei and the Deputy Mayor of Suqian People’s Municipal Government Mr. Zhong Xiaobing took place as well. Together with officials from Jiangsu FAO and Suqian People’s Municipal Government the Consuls General planted Osmanthus trees in the International Friendship Garden in Santai Mountain National Forest Park as a symbol of friendship with Jiangsu Province. They were also present at the opening ceremony of 2023 SuQian (Capital of Chinese Liquor) Cultural Tourism Festival.
