On 10.05.2023, a reception was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Yerevan on the occasion of May 6 - Day of Courage and a holiday of the Bulgarian Army. The event was organized by the Office of the Military Attaché to the Bulgarian Embassy, ​​with the assistance of the entire staff of the mission. The event was attended by representatives of the Association of Military Attachés in Yerevan, officials from the protocol and international cooperation structures of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, as well as Bulgarian citizens. In his welcoming words to the guests, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia H.E. Mr. Kalin Anastasov and the Military and Air Force Attaché to the Bulgarian Embassy in Yerevan Colonel Zdravko Yachev noted the importance of May 6 in the national and army traditions of Bulgaria, as a moment when we honor the heroes of Bulgarian military history, the people who bravely defended their homeland and the freedom of our people. The role of the Bulgarian Army as an integral part of Bulgarian society for the defense of national sovereignty and interests was emphasized. The role of our armed forces in determining the security environment, in the context of the full membership of the Republic of Bulgaria in the EU and NATO, was reported. In addition, the importance of Bulgarian-Armenian military cooperation and its prospects was highlighted. The reception took place in an atmosphere that allowed the foreign guests to feel the spirit of Bulgarian hospitality, and our compatriots - to feel the warmth and traditions of our homeland.
