On 02.09.2021  a meeting of the Amb. of  Bulgaria Kalin Anastasov with the Director of the National Archives of Armenia Grigor Arshakyan took place in the building of the National Archives of Armenia. At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Arshakyan presented to Amb. Anastasov the rich history and experience of the Armenian Archives, emphasizing that it has a 100-year history and that it has historical documents and materials related to the history of Armenia and the region. From his side,  Amb. Anastasov highlighted that the Bulgarian National Archives, represented by the Central State Archives of Bulgaria, has a multifaceted experience and number of documents, including dating from different periods and eras, as well as the correspondence from diplomatic relations with the Vatican. In this regard,  Amb. Anastasov forwarded an invitation from the Director of the Central State Archives to visit Bulgaria to Mr. Arshakyan, pointing that such a visit will strengthen and support future cooperation between national archives. He also mentioned that the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation will lay the foundation for concrete and fruitful cooperation between the specialists in the field of archival work in Bulgaria and Armenia.

In connection with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Armenia in 2022, Mr. Anastasov stated that the Embassy would like to organize exhibitions of documents and materials providing educational information about Bulgarian and Armenian history, culture and nations.
