New Bulgarian Visa Requirements in Qatar
29 March 2013 NewsAs of Monday 1 April 2013, a new procedure will enter into force for applicants requesting a Bulgarian visa in Qatar. This procedure, which introduces the collection of biometrics data, will protect applicants better against identity theft and fraud. At the same time it will prevent false identifications of travelers.
All applicants will have to come personally to apply for the visa in order for their biometric data at the Consulate section into the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria (i.e. 10-fingerprint scan and digital photo) to be collected and their applications to be duly processed. An applicant only has to give his or her fingerprints every 59 months and children under the age of 12 are exempted from fingerprinting.
The Bulgarian visa is valid only for the Republic of Bulgaria.
