On 9 May 2024, at a reception in the EU Delegation in Beirut on the occasion of the Day of Europe, H.E. Mrs. Sandra De Waele, Head of the EU Delegation to Lebanon, congratulated the EU ambassadors in Lebanon while conveying to the present high level representatives of the diplomatic corps and political elite strong messages for cooperation, shared ownership, peace and prosperity. The event was attended by Ambassador Iassen Tomov.
