As of June 2^nd, 2024, the Consular Office at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Tehran has started accepting documents for short-term visas type "C" for visiting relatives or friends, tourism, sports and cultural events, conferences, private and business visits, as well as visas for truck drivers, in the outsourcing center of “VFS Global”. To reserve an appointment to submit an application, as well as to obtain more information, visa applicants should contact “VFS Global” through the following communication channels:

On the website of  “VFS Global” information is provided in English and Persian languages. All documents must be filled in in English.

After booking an appointment at the VFS electronic portal, the applicant will receive detailed information about the day, time and necessary documents for submitting a visa application. “VFS Global" collects an additional fee for the service of reception and processing of accepted applications and documents in the amount of 37 euros. The fee of the consular office for issuing a short-term visa type "C" for persons over 12 years old does not change and is 80 Euro. For children under 12, payment of such a fee is not due, but only a document processing fee should be paid.

Regarding visas for long-term stay “Type D” on the basis of marriage with a Bulgarian citizen, family reunification, registration of a commercial company, etc., or certifications and legalization of documents, the previous procedure is still in force - an appointment should be booked via the Consular Office email address - consulate.tehran@ mfa.bg and citizens are given services at the consular office.
