Ambassador Dessislava Ivanova presented her credentials to Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili

Newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia presented her credentials to Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili. The official ceremony took place on 12 September 2016.
In her speech, Ambassador Ivanova emphasized that Georgia is one of the priority foreign policy partners of Bulgaria in the region. She underlined the excellent bilateral relations and her readiness to work for the expansion and deepening of cooperation between both countries in areas of mutual interest.
Following the ceremony, Ambassador Ivanova and Mr Margvelаshvili discussed the development of bilateral relations and opportunities for their enlargement and enhancement. During the discussion, Ambassador Ivanova reaffirmed Bulgaria’s firm support for Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic perspective as well as for reforms in Georgia, including in the framework of development aid projects.
For his part, the Georgian president emphasized the importance which his country attaches to security related issues in the Black Sea and to strengthening transport connectivity between Europe and Asia via Georgia and Bulgaria.
