The Permanent Representative of Bulgaria to NATO co-chaired a discussion with opinion makers from Moldova

The Permanent Representative of Bulgaria to NATO Todor Churov co-chaired a discussion on topical issues of Allience’s current agenda with opinion makers from Moldova who visited the Headquarters in Brussels, on invitation by NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division. Ambassador Churov briefed the group on the core tasks of the Bulgarian Embassy in Chisinau as a NATO Contact Point Embassy (CPE) in Moldova for the period 2011-2012, emphasyzing on its role in supporting Alliance’s communication efforts and in developing the awareness about NATO, its tasks and policies. He focused on the priorities of the Alliance, highlighted in the new Strategic Concept: enhancing partnerships, Smart defence, more effective and affordable Command Structure. Ambassador Churov answered the questions of the interlocutors about the opportunities to enhance NATO-Moldova cooperation and the activities of the Bulgarian mission in Chisinau as a NATO CPE.
