Provision of Bulgarian humanitarian aid for the injured population in Syria

The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Lebanon joined the effort to provide Bulgarian humanitarian aid to the population in Syria affected by the earthquake which took place on February 6, 2023.
On February 16 of this year, tents, blankets, sheets and other essential items were delivered to Rafik Hariri International Airport in Beirut on a flight by a Bulgarian military transport Spartan aircraft. It was rapidly unloaded with the help of the Lebanese Red Cross (in its capacity as a partner of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent as an aid recipient) and on 17 February on cargo vehicles it crossed the Lebanese-Syrian border and reached the final recipient. On the territory of Lebanon the vehicles were accompanied by a representative of the embassy.
