On 28 May ambassador Deyan Katratchev was received by the acting CEO of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society Dr. Amal Imam at the headquarters of the organization in Cairo.

The meeting was held in the context of the adopted Decision of the Bulgarian Council of Ministers № 249/03.04.2024 for approving humanitarian aid for the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization and the Egyptian Red Crescent Society in support of the civilian population of the Gaza Strip with a total value of 200 000 Euros.

In the framework of the meeting, the two sides discussed the possibilities for further support from Bulgaria and highlighted the very good level of cooperation between the Egyptian Red Crescent Society and the Bulgarian Red Cross.
