The Institute of Ethnology and Folklore with the Ethnographic Museum - Bulgarian Academy of Sciences presents Yakov Levi's Goldsmith's Chest in this exhibition. It was donated to the Institute by Pinkas Benjamin Grandiboule. In 1949, the Pinkas family left for the newly created State of Israel. Before his departure, he donated various objects to the Ethnographic Museum and remained in a cordial relationship with the noted Bulgarian ethnographer Hristo Vakarelski.

Pinkas Benjamin Grandiboule - born on 16 Aug. 1885 in Sofia. Citizenship - Bulgarian, religion - Israeli, literate, 2nd class. Address: Sofia, Partenii Nishavski St. Profession - ambulant, scrap dealer. He had been practicing his profession since 1905 and had a certificate of his occupation from 9 Aug. 1940, issued by the Directorate of Police.

Regional History Museum - Plovdiv presents a chocolate box produced by the Nisim Avdala § Sons Collection Company.

The factory was founded in 1932 and existed under sole proprietorship until 1939. Its original registered name was Nisim Avdala § Sons Collection Company. On 1 July 1940, the company was renamed the Record Factory Nisim Avdala and Sons, a joint-stock company for sugar and chocolate products - Plovdiv. Its production capacity was 800 kg. output per day. The number of workers was constant - about 300 people.

The liquidation of the factory began in December 1942, according to Order No. 589 of the Commissariat for Jewish Affairs. According to the balance sheet for the same year, the factory spent BGN 1,897,574 on packaging materials for the packaging of candies, chocolates, sweets etc.
