The Exhibition "Bulgaria from a Bird's Eye View" was Opened in Bucharest as Part of the Program of the Europa Nostra Summit
On October 7, 2024, two remarkable exhibitions dedicated to the cultural heritage of Bulgaria were opened at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Bucharest. The Minister of Tourism Evtim Miloshev and the Minister of Culture Nayden Todorov, together with the Bulgarian Ambassador to Romania Radko Vlaikov, officially presented the expositions "Bulgaria from a Bird's Eye View" and "Brand Bulgaria - Land of Miracles". "Bulgaria from a bird's eye view" is part of the "Traveling Expositions" program of the State Institute for Culture of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria. The exhibition offers exceptional aerial photos that reveal majestic views of the country's cultural and historical landmarks. The exhibition "Brand Bulgaria - Land of Miracles" was organized by the "Cultural Heritage" Society.
The event was held as part of the official program of the Europa Nostra Summit, dedicated to cultural heritage, which gathered international representatives in Bucharest from October 6 to 8 under the patronage of Romanian President Klaus Iohannis and the European Commission.
The opening of the exhibitions was accompanied by a folklore program performed by the "Kukeri" Ensemble from Ruse, who charmed the guests with their traditional Bulgarian dances. In his welcome, Ambassador Vlaikov emphasized the importance of Bulgarian folklore as an essential element of our cultural and historical heritage and expressed hope that the event will help those present to understand and love Bulgaria.
Ministers Miloshev and Todorov used the occasion to emphasize the need for joint efforts between Bulgaria and Romania in the field of cultural tourism and heritage. "We are working on creating a common tourism product that will present the wonders of both countries," Miloshev said, while Todorov emphasised the importance of cultural heritage in preserving our identity.
The opening of the exhibitions was followed by a tasting of Bulgarian wines and was marked as a key event in the program of the Europa Nostra Summit.
