The Mobile Exhibition "Ancient Treasures of Bulgaria" was Successfully Presented in Pori, Finland
On September 2, 2024, Kaupunkiolohuone Gallery and ARS Gallery in Pori, Finland hosted the opening of the exhibition "Ancient Treasures of Bulgaria". This event was organized by the Finnish-Bulgarian Association in Pori with the support of the Bulgarian Ambassador to Finland, Mrs. Nina Simova and the local municipality. The exhibition was realized by the Institute of Balkan Studies and the Center for Tracology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences with the assistance of the State Institute for Culture of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The project, the work of Prof. D.Sc. Valeria Fall, and the photographs - by Nikolay Genov, presents impressive images of ancient gold and silver artifacts, including works from the famous Panagyur and Valchitran treasures. These exquisite objects, dating from before the new era, reveal the richness of the Bulgarian cultural and historical heritage and demonstrate a high level of artistic craftsmanship.
The Finnish-Bulgarian Association, whose activity is based on friendly relations and cultural cooperation between Finland and Bulgaria, contributes significantly to the realization of the exhibition. The president of the association is Ms. Irina Stamboliyska, and the vice-president is Mr. Ali Poskiparta.
The exhibition aims to increase the positive image and recognition of Bulgaria among the Finnish public, presenting the unique cultural heritage of our country.
