Two Bulgarian films at the European Film Festival in Delhi

The Father, a film by Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov, represents Bulgaria in the contemporary film section Window to Europe of the annual European Film Festival in India

The festival also pays tribute to the European cinema heritage. Among the seven movies selected in this section is the masterpiece We Were Young of the director Binka Zhelyazkova, along with other prominent authors such as: Márta Mészáros, Wanda Jakubowska, Juan Antonio Bardem and Luis García Berlang, Roberto Rossellini, Jiří Menzel, and Claude Chabrol.

This year, the 26th edition of the festival is held entirely online from November 1 to November 30 November. The rich program includes 60 films in 37 different languages. Films from all Member States of the European Union as well as from other associated countries are screened.

The best of European cinema is presented with an emphasis on award-winning films at the festivals in Cannes, Locarno, San Sebastian, Karlovy Vary, and Venice. A special program is dedicated to the legendary Satyajit Ray on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth.
