25/04/26

As part of the EUNIC Mobility Scheme of the Association of European National Institutes for Culture - EUNIC, last week Ms. Ekaterina Stamboliyska, Chief Expert at the State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs partook in a regular meeting of the EUNIC cluster in Prague. The program is part of the EUNIC Mobility Scheme initiative, which launched in 2019 in line with the network’s aim to promote the exchange of experience and ideas among the individual clusters and members of the organization, and to strengthen ties between them.

This was the first time the EUNIC Mobility Scheme Prague took place. Running from April 14–16, 2026 during the European Film Days in Prague, the meetings showcased a variety of projects and events in the fields of culture and the arts, as well as opportunities for cultural cooperation for specialists from various cultural and artistic sectors.

The event was hosted by the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Prague. Particular attention was paid to projects implemented by the EUNIC cluster in the Czech capital, including the Imagine Festival – Regeneration of Cities, with a focus on the upcoming participation of the city of České Budějovice as European Capital of Culture in 2028, as well as other exhibitions, festivals, and events aimed at attracting artists and audiences from across Europe.

The full membership of the State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the EUNIC network since 2021 has created significant opportunities for exchange within the framework of implemented programs on key topics and issues related to European cultural policies and the methods for their implementation.
