Days of Bulgarian Cinema in Belgrade from December 15 to 17 2017

The Days of Bulgarian Cinema were held in Belgrade from December 15 to 17. This year's theme was "Women Directors in Bulgarian Theatre Cinema".
The screenings took place at the Dom Omladine cultural centre, one of the most visited places in the Serbian capital.
At the official opening on December 16, the film "The Prosecutor, Defender, the Father and his Son" was presented by director Iglika Trifonova, who personally greeted the audience at the Dom Omladine cinema hall. Ms Iva Kruleva, Deputy Head of Mission at the Bulgarian Embassy in Belgrade, also presented a welcoming address.
Over the next two days, the films "Bezbog" by director Ralitsa Petrova, and "From Cremona to Cremona", directed by Maria Averina, "Thirst", directed by Svetla Tsotsorkova and "11A" by director Mihaela Komitova were presented.
The program of the festival was supplemented by a discussion held on 16 December with the participation of Rositsa Vulkanova, producer of the films "Bezbog" and "The Prosecutor, Defender, the Father and his Son", Iglika Trifonova, Serbian director Andrijana Stojkovic, and Ivan Kronja, a Serbian film critic. The main topics of the debate were the role of women directors in Bulgarian and Serbian cinema and the challenges faced by film makers.
The days of Bulgarian cinema in Belgrade were held for the third consecutive year at the initiative of the Bulgarian Embassy in partnership with the State Institute for Culture at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Dom Omladine (Belgrade).
