Bulgaria Participates in an Exhibition in Dublin as part of the Irish Presidency of the Council of the EU
On July 22, 2026, Tatyana Karadzhova, Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Dublin, attended the opening of an exhibition organized by the Office of Public Works of Ireland and the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport. Hosted at the Farmleigh Gallery, the exhibition is titled “Vision” and was realized as part of Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Representatives of the diplomatic corps attended the event, as well as Ivaylo Kalfin, the Executive Director of the Dublin-based European agency “Eurofound”.
The exhibition features 27 photographs – one from each European Union member state – creating a shared artistic vision of Europe through the creative lens of the photographers and artworks, carefully selected by the embassies of the EU nation states. Bulgaria is represented by the photograph Midnight in the Lavender Field by Krasimir Matarov, part of the mobile exposition “Fragrances from Bulgaria”, kindly provided by the State Institute for Culture under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.
With remarkable artistic sensitivity, the Bulgarian photographer captures the colors of the world-famous aromatic fields of lavender and Bulgarian rose, which, alongside the traditions and customs associated with them, are a source of pride and a symbol of Bulgaria’s rich cultural and natural heritage.
The exhibition is open to visitors until the end of December this year and can also be viewed virtually at: https://discover.matterport.com/space/9z6jqinmABu
