KAZAKHSTAN EXHIBITION VISITS THE MISSION GALLERY

Cultural diplomacy is one of the tools for rapprochement and interaction between communities today.
The State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs is hosting a special photo exhibition, initiated and realized on the special occasion of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Bulgaria.
This year, the whole country of Kazakhstan celebrates memorable dates related to the lives of two great philosophers: Abai Kunanbayev (175th anniversary of his birth) and Al-Farabi (1150th anniversary of his birth).
Abai Kunanbayev is a great Kazakh poet, leader, educator and philosopher, a founder of the Kazakh classical national written literature. His work includes poetry, poems, translations and prose. He is a famous composer, connoisseur and lover of Kazakh folk music, author of about 20 melodies that are still popular. Translates classical works by A.S. Pushkin, M. Yu. Lermontov, Iv. A. Krylov.
Al-Farabi was born in what is now Kazakhstan, in the ancient city of Otrar. Al-Farabi is the author of many treatises on various topics, he is also called the "second Aristotle", among his works stand out: philosophy"; "On the common in the knowledge of two philosophers - the divine Plato and Aristotle"; "A treatise on the views of the inhabitants of the Virtuous City" and many others.
The event aims to inform and acquaint the Bulgarian public with the history of these two writers and to strengthen cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Bulgaria.
