"Rather, my goal is to pierce the visible, to see the hidden and to draw it out." Ivan Ninov

Ivan Ninov is one of the great Bulgarian names in the field of graphic art. He works mainly in the field of graphics - drypoint, lithography and photolithography, but also in the field of illustration, drawing and painting.

In the work of Ivan Ninov abstract and figural forms are intertwined, which refer to a more sensitive and sublime reality. The purified compositions that can be seen in his lithographs are based mainly on natural forms and elements. They confront the audience with a three-dimensional density that moves simultaneously in the realms of the real and the imaginary, and his still lifes and portraits are a testament to his experienced talent and creative maturity.

The exhibition "Cracks in the Obvious" will present selected works of the author, created between 2008 and 2019, and its mission is to offer an unencumbered view of the hidden corners of his art world, beyond the familiar framework of the obvious reality.
