Meeting of the State Institute for Culture with the Laureates of the Contest "Whoever Saves One Human Life, Saves the Whole Universe"
On August 27, the State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs participated in the study visit of the laureates of the International Literary Contest "Whoever Saves One Human Life, Saves the Whole Universe", organized by the Center for Jewish-Bulgarian Cooperation ALEF.
The event was organized on the initiative of the Diplomatic Institute and was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The director of the Diplomatic Institute, Ms. Tanya Mihailova, welcomed the young guests and introduced them to the basic functions and role of the diplomatic profession. Speakers were also Ms. Genka Georgieva, Director General for Global Affairs, Ms. Khristiana Grozdanova, Head of the Human Rights Department in the Human Rights Directorate, experts from the Diplomatic Institute, Ms. Marina Vladimirova and Mr. Nikolay Krumov, who made detailed presentations in the field of diplomatic protocol and etiquette, digital diplomacy and national branding.
From the State Institute for Culture, the guests were addressed by the director, Mrs. Snezhana Joveva, who presented the main cultural initiatives - exhibitions, films, discussions, seminars, presentations, realized under the project "Strategic cooperation between Bulgaria and Norway", aimed at combating anti-Semitism and the preservation of Jewish heritage. The laureates also received special materials from the State Institute for Culture team, created within the framework of the project - catalogs and the "Jewish Street" puzzle, and participated in a discussion about the importance of historical memory and the role of cultural diplomacy.
