PRESENTATION OF THE PHOTO-DOCUMENTARY EXHIBITION
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the inclusion of the Rila Monastery in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List, from April 21 to 27, 2023, the photo documentary exhibition "Heart of Bulgaria. Masterpieces from the Rila Holy Monastery". It was prepared by a team of the Institute of Balkan Studies with the Center for Tracology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in implementation of the National Scientific Program "Development of Bulgarian Studies Abroad", funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
The exhibition takes place under the patronage of the National Commission of the Republic of Bulgaria for UNESCO with the courtesy of the Rila Monastery, the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Bulgaria to UNESCO and the State Cultural Institute of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The official opening will take place on 24 April 2023 (Monday) at 12.30 p.m. at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris (7 place de Fontenoy, 75007 Paris).
