The travelling exhibition "Bulgarian cities - antiquity that lives" is visiting the city of Cecina, Italy. The project was implemented on the initiative of the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Milan and in partnership with the State Institute for Culture.

The Consulate General of Bulgaria in Milan, in cooperation with the city of Cecina, is organizing the event "Following the Bulgarians in Tuscany" and the presentation of the exhibition "Bulgarian Cities - antiquity that lives" on July 27, 2022. Anna Vlaevska, former lecturer at the University of Pisa presented his research, in which he focused on historically based data on proto-Bulgarian presence in Italy and in particular in Tuscany. After the lecture, the exhibition of the State Cultural Institute under the Minister of Foreign Affairs "Bulgarian cities - antiquity that lives" was opened. The guests were welcomed by the mayor of Castaneto Carducci, Ms. Sandra Scarpelini, by the Consul General of Bulgaria in Milan, Ms. Tanya Dimitrov, the initiator of the event and the cultural adviser of Cecina, Mr. Domenico di Pietro. Mr. Giacomo Bruccani, a former student of Anna Vlaevska, presented our country and the relations with Italy. Regarding the traces of the Bulgarians in Tuscany, Anna Vlaevska focused mainly on her research on Bolgeri, which is located on the territory of the municipality of Castaneto Carducci, and the connection between the names of historical figures and Bulgaria. After the presentation, Mrs. Vlaevska answered the many questions given the tangible interest of the attendees on the topic.
