THE BILINGUAL CATALOG FOR THE EXHIBITION "MIRACULOUS ICONS AND HOLY RELICS OF THE BALKANS" HAS BEEN PUBLISHED
A bilingual representative catalog for the traveling exhibition "Miraculous Icons and Holy Relics of the Balkans" has been published. This is the result of a joint project of the Center for Slavic-Byzantine Studies "Prof. Ivan Duychev" at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ”and the State Cultural Institute under the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The phototype exhibition has already been presented to the general public at home and abroad - at the Bulgarian Cultural Information Center-Skopje, the Bulgarian Embassy in Belgrade, and its premiere in 2021 was at the renovated Mission Gallery in Sofia, in front of the diplomatic corps. The exhibition was part of the program of the 16th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media in the Rila Monastery and the town of Kyustendil in October 2021, organized by the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency.
The catalog, together with the English copy of the exhibition will visit Geneva in April this year, at the invitation of the Board of Trustees of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church Municipality "Nativity of the Virgin" - Switzerland and on the occasion of the upcoming Easter holidays.
The catalog is realized by a team: Prof. Aksinia Dzhurova and Prof. Vasya Velinova - scientific editors, Dr. Alexandra Trifonova - author of a text, Ch. Assistant Professor Dr. Maria Totomanova-Paneva - translation into English, Prof. Hristo Temelski, Prof. Sasho Tsvetkovski, Ph.D. Assistant Professor Dr. Svetozar Angelov, Ph.D. Assistant Professor Dr. Alexandra Trifonova, Dr. Marina Matic, Mina Hristemova, Iglika Trifonova - photos, Dr. Lyudmil Veselinov - artist of the catalog, the press was realized by DKI - Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
