EUNIC Statement on Events in Ukraine
The EU Network of European Cultural Institutes - EUNIC has adopted a declaration on the aggression against Ukraine, describing it as a drastic and unprovoked attack on democracy. Solidarity was expressed with Ukrainian colleagues and the country's people.
EUNIC's work as a network of organizations involved in the development of international cultural relations relies on building dialogue and peaceful global order. “Our Ukrainian partners in the cultural sector are deeply affected by the violence and we express our solidarity with them”, the statement said.
The declaration lists joint projects in Ukraine in recent years and expresses its readiness for the Association to continue to support the country's civil society and representatives of the cultural sector.
