PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT BEWTWEEN THE STATE CULTURAL INSTITUTE AND THE PHILIP KOUTEV NATIONAL FOLKLORE ENSEMBLE

On June 4, a partnership agreement was signed between the State Institute of Culture  and the "Philip Koutev" Folklore Ensemble. The directors of the two institutions - Ms. Snezhana Yoveva and Mr. Georgi Andreev united around this with joint efforts and in terms of dialogue and cooperation, to promote in various initiatives and projects the unique creative products of the Ensemble, for the purposes of cultural diplomacy and intercultural dialogue. The "Philip Kutev" National Folklore Ensemble is a folklore ensemble of national importance and international contribution to the promotion of Bulgarian folklore around the world. The mission of the Ensemble is to "translate" into stage language the great diversity of traditional Bulgarian folklore culture, presenting it through authentic, processed or composed on the basis of folklore songs, dances, instrumental pieces, rituals and customs. The activity of the Ensemble in a peculiar way revives, preserves and spreads this ancient and beautiful tradition, at the same time investing new creative ideas in its embodiment. Europe, Asia, Africa and America. This partnership with the Institute is also on the occasion of celebrating this year the 70th anniversary of the ensemble created in 1951 by the famous Bulgarian composer Filip Kutev, whose name it bears today. The State Institute of Culture has been activating the expansion of its partnerships in the last few years, with the aim of promoting creative projects important for Bulgarian culture and identity abroad and to support and encourage the Bulgarian art scene.
