Ambassador Desislava Ivanova opened the exhibition
The photo exhibition "The Beauties of Bulgaria", organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Georgia with the kind assistance of the Ministry of Culture of Adjara, Georgia, was presented on August 13, 2020 in the open spaces of the Adjara Museum of Art in Batumi.
In her greeting to the guests, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia Desislava Ivanova presented the photos, explaining that they are inspired by natural and cultural landmarks of Bulgaria, which are an example of the diversity of nature and rich cultural heritage of our country, antiquity to the present day.
On behalf of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, the Minister of Culture of Adjara Maya Khadzhishvili expressed his satisfaction with the fact that the exhibition is presented in the Adjara capital and can be seen not only by residents but also by gradually returning foreign tourists. She recalled the successful cooperation of the ministry she manages with the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Georgia and the many joint cultural and educational projects organized in recent years. Maya Khadzhishvili thanked for the traditional Bulgarian support for her country.
The exhibition is the first event to promote Bulgarian culture, organized by post-restrictive measures to limit the spread of the crown virus, and in this sense has additional weight as a sign of a gradual return to traditional forms of public diplomacy widely used by the Embassy.
