PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION DIRECTIONS 2020

25/02/20

15 YEARS STATE CULTURAL INSTITUTE TO THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

The photography competition Directions, organized by the State Cultural Institute to the Minister of Foreign Affairs to mark the 15th anniversary of its creation, is open to all photography enthusiasts, with no restrictions of professional experience. The competition aims to select and display unique images taken worldwide that directly or indirectly reflect themes of globalization, identity, intercultural dialogue and tolerance between different nations.

The jury of the competition will recognize pictures that have a powerful message and are made with exceptional quality. The photographs are expected to create a visual narrative through excellent technical and creative skills. The idea behind the competition is to reveal images that show the world around us in an original way and to allow the expression of photographers, whose work could not be seen in other circumstances. The works, presented in the theme Directions, are expected to show the characteristic style of the authors, who have chosen their direction for creative expression.

Participants can take part with up to 3 images (not smaller than 1 MB and not larger than 5 MB, JPEG format) in the following categories: Culture & Arts, Architecture, Portraits, Urban Life and Travel. Photos participating in the contest must not be awarded in another contest, have been exhibited or published in print and/or in professional photography sites.

The images must be emailed to: [email protected] by April 12, 2020 with a completed and signed entry form. Download the form below.

The winners of the competition will be announced in May 2020, and the award ceremony of the distinguished authors will take place in June 2020.
