Presentation of the 'Gutenberg and the Slavonic World' Exhibition at Ca' Foscari University of Venice

The exhibition "Gutenberg and the Slavonic World" was presented at the BALI library of the Ca' Bernardo Department of Linguistics and Humanities at the prestigious Ca' Foscari University of Venic on December 2 2017. The exhibition is part of the State Institute for Culture's "Travelling Exhibitions" project.
The event took place under the patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Milan.
Guests were given welcome greetings by the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in Rome Mr. Marin Raykov and the Consul General in Milan Mr. Rossen Rufev. Participants in the presentation of the exhibition included its authors, corresponding member Aksiniya Dzhurova and Professor Vasya Velinova of the Professor Ivan Dujčev Centre for Slavonic-Byzantine Studies, professors from Ca' Foscari University and representatives of the State Institute for Culture.
The opening of the exhibition was held as a concomitant and closing event at a major international conference on "The Languages of Christian Prayer - History and Contemporaryity" at Ca' Foscari University, dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the famous dispute of St. Constantine the Philosopher against the so-called . triangles in Venice in 867. Participants in the conference included well-known scholars from various European universities.
The opening of the exhibition was honoured by the presence of clergy from different parts of Italy and from the church communities in Venice, students from Ca' Foscari, people from the art world and Bulgarians living in Venice.
The exhibition will be on until December 15 2017. At the end of this period, a second presentation is planned for Italians studying the Bulgarian language, students and Bulgarians as part of a lecture on Bulgarian language at Ca' Foscari, led by Assya Assenova.
