Bulgarian monuments under UNESCO protection in Athens
On May 24 2016, the exhibition "Bulgarian monuments under UNESCO protection", part of the "Travelling Exhibitions" project by the State Institute for Culture, opened at the Athens Municipality's Melina Cultural Centre. The exhibition, on the occasion of May 24, Saints Cyril and Methodius Day and the Day of Slavonic Literature and Culture, was organized by the Embassy of Bulgaria in Greece in co-operation with the Cultural Center. The exhibition is dedicated to the creation of the Slavonic alphabet and the 70th anniversary of UNESCO.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Greece, Mrs. Emilia Kraleva, who emphasized the importance of the mission of Saints Cyril and Methodius to European civilization.
