Meeting of foreign translators and publishers of Bulgarian literature in the town of Balchik
Foreign translators and publishers of Bulgarian literature meet at the “Palace” Cultural Centre in the town of Balchik on September 23 through September 29. The meeting is expected to be attended by 25 guests from Europe, the USA and Mexico, as well as by Bulgarian publishers, translators and representatives of artists’ organizations and associations. The State Institute of Culture is represented by Ms. Liudmila Dimitrova who is going to make a presentation of the institute’s programmes seeking to promote Bulgarian literature and books through joint editions and participation in book fairs, and extensive promotion of Bulgarian books by Bulgarian diplomatic missions abroad. A Ministry of Culture representative will make a presentation of programmes promoting Bulgarian authors abroad.
