The Exhibition "Closeness" from the Program "Balkan Dialogues" was Opened at the Mission Gallery

An exhibition by Ivan Milushev and Yasharali Tahir was presented in the "Mission" gallery of the State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The exhibition entitled "Closeness" is part of the program of the "Balkan Dialogues" of the Institute.

Both artists were born in Bulgaria, graduated from Art High School and Art Academy in Sofia, and although Yasharali Tahir has been living in Turkey since 1985, the authors maintain their contact and closeness in art.

"Today's meeting illustrates communication as an important tool in dialogue and the role of culture in diplomacy," said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostadin Kojabashev in his welcome during the event. He emphasized that the exhibition is another example of the good cooperation between Bulgaria and Turkey in various fields.

The opening was also attended by the ambassador of Turkey in Sofia, H.E. Aileen Sekizkök, who pointed out that such projects bring our two peoples even closer together and stated the readiness of the Turkish side to support future joint initiatives.

Ivan Milushev has over 40 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad and participates in various international exhibitions and forums for oil painting and watercolor. His paintings are owned by the National Art Gallery in Sofia, the Graphic Department of the Washington Convention Library, numerous municipal galleries in Bulgaria, as well as private collections around the world.

Yasharali Tahir has been teaching at Ninth September University in Izmir, majoring in sculpture for 30 years. There are numerous solo exhibitions in the country and abroad: Paris, Lyon, Strasbourg. He runs his own gallery in Izmir, where he organizes international plein air exhibitions.
