The exhibition "Closeness" by Ivan Milushev and Yasharali Tahir will be presented in the "Mission" gallery at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Sofia in September.

Neighborhood, contact, communication, friendship - all these words describe the essence of the word "closeness". This closeness that exists in the friendship between Ivan Milushev and Yasharali Tahir is also the feeling that contact with art creates between the artist and the audience, as well as between the people who share the experience with each other. Neighborhood is what brings together the two peoples - the Bulgarian and the Turkish - over the centuries. To connect nations through culture and communication - this is also the goal of cultural diplomacy.

Ivan Milushev was born in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. He graduated from the National High School and the National Art Academy in Sofia. He has over 40 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad and participates in various international exhibitions and forums for oil painting and watercolor. His paintings are owned by the National Art Gallery in Sofia, the Graphic Department of the Washington Convention Library, numerous municipal galleries in Bulgaria, as well as private collections around the world.

Yasharali Tahir was born in Bulgaria. He graduated from the Art High School and the Art Academy in Sofia. He has been living in Turkey since 1985. For 30 years, he has been a teacher at the "Ninth of September" University in Izmir, majoring in sculpture. During these years, he opened numerous solo exhibitions in the country and abroad: Paris, Lyon, Strasbourg. He has his own gallery in Izmir, where he organizes international plein airs.

Both artists were born in Bulgaria, graduated from Art High School and Art Academy in Sofia, and although Yasharali Tahir has been living in Turkey since 1985, the authors maintain their contact and closeness in art. The exhibition, which will present paintings and sculptures by the two authors, is part of the program Balkan Dialogues of the State Institute for Culture.
